I told everyone I returned from Siena a cinta senese because itβs true.
No body shaming here - the bounty of nourishing and filling food in the height of late autumn Siena is enough to get you through winter. And, one of those things is the cinta senese or Senese pig. Two of my friends now call me cinta and I think itβs kinda cute.

Fair warning: all the dishes listed are strictly βSeneseβ, especially if youβre in Siena. Do not - I repeat - do not call them Florentine / fiorentina in Senese territory, unless you want to face the fury that comes with the millennium-long battle between the two rival cities. Safe to just call these dishes βTuscan.β
